Rudolf Steiner (1861–1925) was born in the small village of Kraljevec, Austro-Hungarian Empire (now in Croatia), where he grew up (see right). What a book. Anyone who is serious about their life should read this book. A total masterpiece.

It's interesting and the author was obviously quite intuitive. However, it was written in a totally different era and I know through my own experiences that much of what he wrote is not correct. He also wrote it in such a stilted manner, that it's not an easy read nor is it enjoyable. I do like the meditations ,though.

Rudolf Steiner can be a difficult author to follow unless you have PLENTY of time to re-read pages and keep an OPEN MIND. He is an excellent writer, and understood the spiritual realm of our universe with zeal in a time when being open-minded was almost unheard of. We have learned lots from his books. Steiner was a CHRISTIAN who wanted to bring us more in touch with the Spirit World.

Great cookbook with a Korean flair. It has everything you wanted on korean cooking from simple and traditional cooking to westernized and colonialism influences that happened in Korea like the WW2, Korean-Chinese War, Korean war, etcetera.

Exactly what I was looking for! I love trying new foods and am always interested to make some of the recipes but ethnic food isn't always available in traditional American cook books. This book not only has just about every Korean food that I've tasted before, but, also offers a chapter on tradition and culture of Korean food preparation and serving, and even a little bit about table manners!The 135 recipes themselves range in difficulty from easy to complicated, but most seem to be on the easy side. Each recipe gives you a "prep time" and a "cook time" so that you know before you begin what to expect.The only thing that the book lacks is photos of the finished product. The image on the front is nice and I would love to see what it is that I will be cooking, especially when some of the items I have never seen, nor heard of. *I received a sample of this item in return for an honest and unbiased review*

So many delicious recipes. I really miss living in Korea and this recipe book is fairly simple to follow and fix many of my favorite dishes. It will be hard to follow these recipes if you cannot get some of the items so you either need an Asian market near you or just order the products online from Amazon. Some dishes also need special equipment but there are ways around that if needed.

This book is the best korean cookbook i have ever found. I am half korean and grew up on korean dishes, but my mom could never translate measurement amounts other than by showing me how much she scoops by hand. This author shares stories that are similar that i could relate to. I am now better able to mimic my mom's dishes.Dishes differ depending on what region in Korea you are from. These are similar to my mom's region. Also, she has some more complex dishes here that my mom never had the privilege to enjoy in Korea because of her poverty. I have had wonderful experiences cooking with my mom and hearing her stories.This book is amazing. If you want to make authentic korean food, this cook book is simple and easy to understand.

I love trying different kind of cuisines and cooking is my hobby. I love reading books on different kinds of recipes and trying them out and sharing with my family. This cookbook was quite an interesting collection to my cook books.Korean food is quite different from what I had tried before. The book itself was really fun to read. I really appreciate it when the dishes are represented with the help of pictures as it really brings out a depth to cooking and makes it even mire interesting. There were many ingredients which I did not have in my daily cooking that I had to purchase for this kind of food.All in all the recipes were not that difficult and the taste was great. There were many simple recipes to try. I enjoyed cooing them.Sample received at discount or no cost for honest opinion.

Not only does this cookbook have recipes but it also talks about the Korean food culture, rituals & etiquette, and essentials in the pantry and cookware. It starts you out with basic stocks, sauces, and marinades then moves onto different meals ranging from bar food to soups and stews to different meat entrees and even included drinks and sweat treats. One of the recipes that I'm highly interested in trying is the Korean-Style Sweet Potato Pizza. I love sweet potatoes and I love pizza, so why not throw them together! I am very excited to experiment with some of these new and delicious sounding dishes! I admit i do not know much about korean food. I know i love spicy food and flavorful food so i was eager to dive into this book.The first part is all about korean food and culture history and ettiquite. I loved learning about different table manners and how food is prepared and the different types. It was a great intro and really got me psyched. You can just tell the author loves her culture and food and took great care with this cookbook.The recipes are easy to follow and the images, though feq, look delicious. There are a few ingrediants i would have a hard time finding and would have to search online but not many. Most of the recipes are simple and short with a few requiring quite a few ingrediants. All of it sounds so yummy though! Its broken down into sections and there is even a dessert part. This is a great book for korean food newbies or seasoned cooks alike and i cant wait to try some of them.Note - I have recieved this item in exchange for an honest review.

I got this cookbook because my husband loves to try new things. The recipes are easy to follow, and I like that they are broke up in different sections such as, Appetizers, Side Items, Main Courses, and Desserts for example. I think some of the desserts look like they will be amazing, and I can't wait to try out different recipes throughout this cookbook. There are some ingredients that you can't just pick up at your local store so you do want to make sure you have a Korean market, or a place that offers or can order an ethnic variety of foods. Just because it's not a cooking style I'm familiar with I do wish it had more pictures in it to know what it is supposed to look like. *I received this product in exchange of my honest opinion/review.

Look up at the luscious Look Inside! feature to the Intro: "Find your inner font." Such a cool idea!! Then just browse and see how color and whimsy come together to make things of beauty. Even if you find yourself in a dark place now...perhaps "journaling" would help you sort out your feelings or at least express them. I love the journal: what person here didn't have scribbles in school notebooks (instead of doing homework or to daydream in class) or a diary you illustrated or an artbook filled with your sketches? And just in lettering your name in fun ways. The splash of color throughout the book is a mood booster itself, let alone what you'll learn about to coax out your inner artist.There's something about the alphabet, isn't there? I recall how I used to make rows and rows of A's across the bottom lines of paper when I was 4. My son just turned 21 and I've still kept a cache of his drawings from ages 2-7 with his robots, pumpkins and German shepherds (don't ask) and he kept spelling his name jamie with the "j" or "e" or both backward.I really enjoy the inspiration the author gives: many, many books like this are way too technical or way too "see how over-the-top creative I am." I usually find these are daunting or intimidating to me. But this one makes me want to race to Michael's or an art store and buy those cool papers, paints, etc.I'm ecstatic: the author is publishing this next year:The Art of Whimsical Stitching: Creative Stitch Techniques and Inspiring ProjectsFor decades, I've been a big needlework enthusiast: my walls are covered, my friends' and family's too...but, especially, I have about 700 needlework books. I'm getting into design and really only the newest publications are very helpful. (I have one needlework book from the 1970's that's entitled "Colour" (English author) and it has 4 glossy pages of color wheels and needlework and all the rest is b&w.) I don't know about you but I have found with a given author that the more she can be expert and creative in more than one technique, the more outstanding she is to explain and inspire.Get this book.

Although I enjoyed this book, it wasn't what the description and reviews implied. I was looking for a book to basically learn about lettering techniques, brushstrokes, alphabets and fonts, etc. I've been practicing from YouTube and pinterest, but I learn best from books. This book has very little lettering instruction - it basically tells you to learn to love your own handwriting style. It's mostly about different types of media for your lettering. I did learn some things about painting and masking that I didn't know, and this is definitely an inspiration to branch out from the black and white lettering projects I've done so far. However, I definitely wouldn't recommend this as an instructional book, especially for someone starting in hand lettering that is looking for practice and technique.(Disclaimer - the workbook in my pic is just some of my pinterest practice stuff and not from this book)

I stalked the ups driver, I counted the days, I checked my email daily and when it finally arrived I tried to consume all the delicious information in one day but alas, it is so packed full of information, instruction and beautiful art I had to slow down and savor it.If you are looking for a beautifully illustrated, marvelously written book on the art of lettering this is the one! I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to complete each and every challenge. Joanne Sharpe has written a book that will help be become a better artist but also has me asking myself the hard questions. Questions like why I do this, am I willing to put the work into this art form and how I will use the knowledge once it is mine. II cannot recommend this highly enough...not enough stars and not enough praise for Joanne Sharpe.

Love the format, illustrations and instruction. This book is fun. I tried calligraphy and it wad too rigid for me. This is playful and perfect.

Let me begin this review by admitting that... 1. I hardly ever purchase 'How To' books, as I feel I can usually figure things out on my own without depleting my already meager budget... and 2. I very rarely ever write reviews. That all being said, you must now realize how AWESOME I think this book is!!!I have been following Joanne Sharpe for quite a while, first noticing her magazine tutorials and articles, then stalking her website, and eventually signing up for one of her online classes... which I totally enjoyed. When I realized she had written this book, I was excited... but didn't purchase it. I get mad at myself when I purchase these kinds of books, flip through them, then toss them aside to gather dust as I continue to practice on my own. Do you do that too?? So... that's why I don't buy these books any more. Well... one evening while surfing the Internet searching for inspiration for another project I was working on, I stumbled upon her AOWL Book Club. WOW! I was blown away!! An author who enhances the printed lessons via FREE online classes???? Now THAT's what I call going above and beyond!!! I watched a few of the videos... then immediately purchased the book!!! I really like Joanne's style of teaching... and am THRILLED she keeps me going back to the book and dives deeper into the lessons. Finally... A 'How To' book that gets USED instead of just sitting on the shelf. I was so in love with this idea.. that I purchased her other book, The Art of Whimsical Stitching and actually PAID for the online class that goes with it!!Why are you still reading this review? I love fonts. I purchases this book because it looked like fun and I have an issue with breaking the norm. My creativity doesnt always come out. Ineed it ia a fun book with looks of ideas, from fonta, to backgrounds, even embroidery. Mixed media of colored pencils, gel pens, watercolora, brush pens, etc. Really good book to start off with!

I strongly recommend this book to dentists, managers, and dental marketers on all levels of experience. It is true that the book presents material that the authors also provide as a paid service. But they do not hold back in presenting to the "how to's" so that purchasing these services is vital. The book is well written and easily read. I give it full marks.

Wow what a treasure trove of information. And very timely for me as well. I was in the middle of negotiating a new website contract and was blasted with all of the technical jargon that is incumbent with this process. Many of the terms and ideas are quite intimidating to understand unless one has the necessary background to understand the jargon. After reading "How to Get New Dental Patients" I feel like I can almost create my own website. The most important thing is that I was knowledgeable enough to not be taken advantage of by a savvy web developer. He was quite surprised at my level of knowledge and treated me with the appropriate respect. So thank you Adam for a well written book that will definitely help to improve my web presence.

Dental marketing is not an exciting subject. In fact, nothing about going to the dentist is really exciting. As a marketing consultant myself I'm always looking for new ways to serve my clients better. Adam and Jacob really knocked it out the park with this one. Some of the strategies are so SIMPLE but really SO DARN effective. I have clients we have used these tactics on in the past year and VOILA! The practice grew. One of our clients has almost 300% growth in new patients in the past 12 months. Much of that growth was based on the principles and strategies learned in this book. Thank you for the great info gentlemen.

A lot of basic advertising / marketing techniques. Seemed more like a gimmick to advertise / compliment their consulting business. I found the content weak, their sales pitches to get you to call them for consulting pathetic, and the entire book as close to useless. If you have some sense of using the web, you're better off not wasting the time reading this book. If you have NO idea how to setup a gmail account, etc, this book will literally give you step by step instructions how to setup your email, make social media accounts, etc. VERY basic. I've read a lot of dental practice building books and would recommend Dr. Howard Farran's "Uncomplicate Business" and Dr. Moffet's "How To Build The Dental Practice Of Your Dreams: (Without Killing Yourself!) In Less Than 60 Days" as my top 2 dental business books.

The read was a waste of time for the most part. It went back and forth between being to general or too specific. I felt like their purpose for writing the book was to get you to give them a call so they could charge you to do your internet advertising. It is not a self help book.

I purchased this for my husband. He read it on the plane to our California vacation and commented he really liked it. He's into dental marketing and marketing for his dentist office so looked good to me. Won me some brownie points :) I'd recommend it as a Christmas gift for the upcoming Holidays. Tis the season to shower your dentist family with presents!

This was general information, I was very disappointed that there were NO examples of any marketing that was used. Great commercial for their company.

I took an introductory needle felting class with my mother and daughter in August, and fell in love with the art. I bought Ms. Cato’s book because I was intrigued by the idea of making something beyond the cute little critters most needle felting books seem to offer.The finger puppets are a great beginner project. They are tricky enough to make that they are a challenge, but not so challenging as to be discouraging. Ms. Cato outlines several techniques that are extremely helpful to a newbie like me: who knew a bit of folded cardboard could save your fingers so much potential pain?! That alone makes this book my current “go to” for needle felting inspiration.I knocked off a star because while Ms. Cato does include some very useful tips, her descriptions of more complex techniques are sometimes a bit too light. I have found myself, more than once, reading and re-reading a passage, trying to figure out what she means for me to do.Since the descriptions are a tad spotty, there’s a certain amount of boldness needed to make these projects. At some point, you’re going to have to forget your confusion about the instructions and wing it!If you are the type of crafter that hates “winging it”, then you might want to look elsewhere. Since I’ve pretty much lived my whole life that way, this was not a problem for me!I have completed two finger puppets, a fox (that sort of looks like the one in the book haha), and a badger of my own design because, hey, I like badgers. I am currently working on a skull mask for my son because 1) he didn’t get the hint that when I told him to look through this book and I’d make him any mask he wanted- that I actually meant him to pick one of THESE masks and 2) Ms. Cato includes so many tips for shaping wool that I’m feeling pretty confident I can pull this off!

Great detailed step-by-step photos and instructions. You're shown how to make simple shapes and combine them into wonderful, elaborate creations. Lots of great tips and tricks to get the best results. There are even templates included, to help you with sizes and shapes, to keep your proportions accurate. If you are crafty, you too can do this!!

Great for Needle Felting. Pretty detailed and loaded with information!

I have 2 of Terese's books and they are extremely well written and illustrated. Well worth the money! wish I could take a class from her!

The pictures are fabulous and really spark your creativity. Instruction are clear, easy to understand and all the step by step photos are really helpful.

Loved this book. It has inspired me to create masks for our ballet group.

One of the best description of felting on finger puppets and masks!!! I am just one year into felting and found it easy read and understand !!
